Las Vegas, NV– (October, 2016) – Salt Chamber founder and CEO Leo Tonkin and Robert Henry, founder of Robert D. Henry Architects recently partnered to design a signature SALT Booth®, which would be used for a single individual, and a SALT Cabin™, that can provide salt therapy for 2-8 people. “We are very excited to be launching this project at the International Spa Association (I-SPA) event that will be held in Las Vegas this week,” said Henry.

People have long recognized the curative effects of breathing in the ocean air and bathing in the ocean for the wellness benefits provided to us by Mother Nature. Salt Therapy, also known as Halotherapy, works by inhaling dry micro-ionized pure sodium chloride particles from a Halogenerator into a relaxing Salt Cabin or Salt Booth. Wet Salt provided by the ocean is already saturated whereas Dry Salt is far more effective in helping people with respiratory and skin conditions.  Dry salt is super absorbent, anti-inflammatory and is anti-bacterial which helps detoxify the respiratory and integumentary systems.

“It is a real pleasure and opportunity to partner with one of the most respected and innovative worldwide architects in the spa and wellness industry,” says Leo Tonkin.  “We are working with Bob on some existing projects and this Salt Booth and Cabin project will further distinguish Salt Chamber as the leader in the industry,” says Tonkin.

Salt Therapy is 100% natural, safe, drug-free and also provides respiratory hygiene and overall wellness benefits for young children to the elderly.  For more than two decades, evidence-based research and published medical studies have been provided from European countries documenting the beneficial effects of Halotherapy for people of all ages.

The Salt Booth® Spa

The S.A.L.T Booth® Spa is about the size of a typical large shower. The Salt Booth provides therapeutic benefits and is perfect for both residential and commercial use.  It is about the size of a standard shower with a tempered glass door and two side-light glass panels. Users comfortably sit down, relax and read, meditate or listen to music using the built-in docking station. Dry Salt Therapy offers an effective way of using salt’s natural antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and super absorbent properties to provide a variety of respiratory, skin, beauty and wellness treatments. Dry salt therapy delivered via the signature “halogenerator”, absorbs and removes foreign toxins, allergens, and substances from the respiratory system. It opens airways and increases oxygen flow, improving the skin’s microcirculation, accelerates cell rejuvenation and improves skin rigidity.  Research has also shown that the heated Himalayan Salt crystals emit natural occurring negative ions that reduce stress and fatigue while supporting a sense of well-being.

Be sure to check out all the details at the upcoming ISPA Conference & Expo in Las Vegas from September 13-15 and visit SALT Chamber at Booth #728.
